Note from the maker: I love the designs of henna art, and I’ve used those motifs in my jewelry since I learned how to silversmith more than a decade ago. For years I cut henna-inspired shapes out of sheet metal, added stones, and decorated with stamps. One of the things I find special about henna art is the fact that it is improvised on the spot. I just played with my bits of wire until I was pleased with the design, and soldered everything into place. It felt so playful and free! And I hope the end result delights you the way it does me.
